Exploring a post digital path, the peculiar vs. perfect, and rhythms of human cycles instead of the speed of straight lines, Canadian born singer-songwriter Francis Falls’ songs are gaining attention in the New York City folk and anti folk scene. His solo acoustic guitar paired with sparse harmonica performances expand on the folksinger persona blending Americana and roots style. Francis’ powerful delivery and straight up, unvarnished stage presence combine, unleashing provocative and emotional performances. His intimate and soulful vocals have been likened to Ray La Montagne, Chris Cornell, and Mike Ness. Lyrically, Francis Falls’ songs are at once frank and honest while drawing the listener mysteriously into their own emotional narrative.
Currently Francis is recording a selection of his songs for release late fall 2017 while performing regularly in New York City and Brooklyn.
Francis’ future plans include taking his collection of songs further down the road through social justice collaborations, touring, and music festival appearances.
